from fresh to forever
hd Flower Studio is a Cape Town–based studio devoted to preserving the beauty and sentiment of meaningful flowers. We transform blooms from life’s most special moments into bespoke botanical artworks that reflect your unique story.
Each flower is carefully pressed, preserved, and artfully arranged to honour the emotion of the occasion it represents. We take great care to maintain the natural colour, shape, and essence of every bloom, resulting in pieces that feel both personal and timeless.
While we specialise in wedding bouquet preservation, we also create custom botanical artworks from any floral arrangement, whether from an anniversary, celebration, memorial, or a moment you wish to hold onto.
Every hd Flower Studio piece is created with intention, transforming your flowers into lasting keepsakes that keep your memories beautifully alive.

the design essence
The beauty of remembrance, a capsule of love, captured in time.
The beauty of change, a new version of your story, still holding the very same moment close.
Our frames are crafted from exceptional quality Obeche or Kiaat wood, craftsmanship that speaks for itself. Because every unique bouquet deserves a piece just as unique
colour expectation
When selecting the colours for your fresh bouquet, it’s important to consider how each bloom will transform during preservation.
White flowers often soften over time, drying into tones of ivory, cream, pale yellow, or gentle sepia. Choosing your blooms with the preserved result in mind helps ensure the final piece aligns with your vision.
Some flowers also change more noticeably, for example, pink hydrangeas typically deepen into shades of purple, while anthurium flowers naturally dry to a warm rust brown, regardless of their original colour.
If you’re hoping for an all-white preserved result, we recommend selecting blooms from the "preserves more white" list or adding colour correction with your order. Alternatively, if you love the natural transformation, you’re welcome to choose more freely and embrace these beautiful shifts.
We honour the full journey of your blooms, preserving not only their form but the unique character they develop over time.
layout and design
With our experienced team, we offer you the option to select your preferred layout when placing your order. We also provide you with the opportunity to give feedback on the layout and design, should you wish to include or exclude certain elements once the blooms are ready to be framed.
frames and sizes
Our frames are handcrafted in Cape Town by a local artisan, using a variety of hardwoods including Kiaat and Obeche. They are available in a selection of finishes such as natural, white, and black.
Our standard sizes include the Grandeur Frame (A2), the Statement Frame (A3), the Classic Frame (A4), and the Dainty Frame (20 x 20 cm). We also offer custom sizes upon request.

sending your blooms
When you make your booking, you will receive detailed postage instructions. You are welcome to use any courier service of your choice to send your flowers; however, from experience, we have found that blooms are best preserved when we are able to collect them directly from the courier depot.
When flowers are sent out for delivery to the studio, they often spend unnecessary additional time in courier vans and may only arrive late in the day. By collecting them from the depot as soon as they arrive, we are able to eliminate this extra transit time, which significantly improves preservation quality.
For this reason, we recommend couriering your blooms to the designated depot for collection, preferably with The Courier Guy, Brackenfell depot, rather than arranging direct delivery to the studio.
Please avoid PostNet, as slower delivery times may result in the flowers not reaching us in time for proper preservation. An overnight service is strongly advised.
If you are based in the Nothern Suburbs, drop-off/collection can be arranged Monday to Friday. Kindly pop us an email to arrange drop-off/collection.
You are welcome to include any additional flowers from your event that you would like us to preserve.
